Sepultura release signature beer

Stumped for Christmas present ideas this year? We have a suggestion – give your loved ones a case of Sepultura’s own signature beer this festive season.

Yep, it’s true – thrash legends Sepultura now have their own line of beer. Adorned with the signature Sepultura ‘S’ logo and packaged in what resembles a Marshall guitar amp, the Sepultura Weizen beer is a wheat-based brew containing “aroma and flavors (sic) of banana and clove from a special strain of yeast that produces the chemicals that lead to these perceptions”. The beer is being produced in Brazil to commemorate Sepultura’s 25th band anniversary.

Sepultura join a growing list of bands releasing their own alcoholic beverages. Other bands who’ve released signature beers and wines include AC/DC, Clutch, Motorhead, Slayer and Mastodon.

To be honest, it doesn’t look like the beer will receive an Australian release any time soon, so if you’re keen to soak up a drop you might have to look at importing it/flying to Brazil.
