Celebrate by listening to 'Ciao! Best Of Lush'
In exciting news for shoegaze fans the world over, iconic British rockers Lush have confirmed they are indeed back and keen to get the ball rolling on their first live show in 20 years.
Having officially disbanded in 1998 following the tragic suicide of their drummer, Chris Acland, the quartet announced the news of their return via their Facebook page, saying, "For all the fans who have been pestering us to do this: thanks so much for your patience and support! We wish it could have been sooner but, for many years, it was just too painful to contemplate without Chris, and then all kinds of life-changing commitments made it impossible.
"Now, at last, the three of us are in the right place at the right time to play music together again."
The band are playing a celebratory show at London's Roundhouse on 6 May 2016 with Acland's friend Justin Welch behind the drums. The band will also be releasing a special edition vinyl through 4AD of their 2001 compilation, Ciao! Best Of Lush, as well as a five-CD Lush anthology, bound in a hardcover book, called Chorus which you can purchase in December here.
