A second Big Day Out has been announced for Sydney, after tickets for the original date sold out in record time last night.
Triple J announced this afternoon that a second Sydney date - January 23rd - has been added to the annual touring festival, with the Big Day Out website selling its allocation of tickets within 30 minutes last night.
The same line-up, including Muse, The Mars Volta and Lily Allen, will touch-down in Sydney for two consecutive days, with the original date set for January 22.
It will be only the second time in the festival's 18 year history that a city has hosted two shows. Coincidentally, the second Sydney date will be the 100th Big Day Out staged.
Tickets go on sale Monday morning through the Big Day Out website and Ticketmaster
