“Their extraordinary music is what brings a story or performance to life.”

Celebrating Australian screen composers, Screen Music Awards will return to Melbourne this year, today unveiling details around its 2019 ceremony.

Screen Music Awards 2019 will be hosted at The Forum on November 20, with a “reinvigorated format” that will include a theatre-style sit-down dinner for guests before the main event.

It’s also been confirmed that beloved music personality Justine Clarke will host this year’s event, after being nominated at last year’s.

“I’m thrilled to be hosting the 2019 Screen Music Awards to honour our Australian screen composers, the unsung stars of film and TV production,” Clarke said.

“Sprinkling their magic fairy dust on our work, their extraordinary music is what brings a story or performance to life and connects us with our audience.”

Meanwhile, Jessica Wells will remain the event’s Musical Director, leading a live orchestra at The Forum.
