The full list has been unveiled!

Presented by APRA AMCOS and the Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC), the Screen Music Awards has officially chosen its 2022 nominees, with a collection of pop composers making the cut. Missy Higgins, Kate Miller-Heidke, Josh Pyke, Keir Nuttall and Jono Ma all managed to earn a nomination for their musical work relating to a screen/film release.

Higgins has been nominated for her song Bloody Game, which featured in the political-drama Total Control. Husband & wife duo, Miller-Heidke and Nuttall, have been recognised for their contribution to the comedy show Preppers with their song, I Am My Own Panther Now. Pyke picked up his nomination for 'Best Television Theme' for the Aus drama Troppo, and Ma followed suit, gaining his nomination in the 'Best Music for an Advertisement' category for his help on Samsung MFF: Walk The Night.

Composer Caitlin Yeo leads this year's list with nominations across five categories. Brett Aplin and Piers Burbrook de Vere were also high achievers, earning three or more nods.

The Screen Music awards are a chance to recognise the contribution and excellency of screen composers within Australia who bring magic and atmosphere to visual releases. The winners of the 2022 awards will be announced at Forum Melbourne/Naarm on November 15 by co-hosts Anika Edmonds and Anne Edmonds.
