Screeching Weasel have posted a new song entitled "Carnival of Schadenfreude", which will appear on the band's forthcoming album of the same name. The name of the record refers to the aftermath of an incident at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas earlier this year, where front man Ben Weasel struck a female fan.
Subsequently, all other members of Screeching Weasel left the band and the annual Weaselfest was cancelled. Ben Weasel says he has since replaced the "boys" with "men", and the new line up will release "Carnival of Schadenfreude" on Recess Records on October 29.
