The local legends will hit The Zoo for a special appearance this July
Celebrated Brisbane veterans Screamfeeder are back in the swing of things following their return to action with three-track single Alone In A Crowd in late 2015, and they're ready to hit their next chapter at speed, unveiling plans to release a new track ahead of another full-length album later this year.
The forthcoming single — title unknown — is due for release on 20 June through Poison City Records, with Screamfeeder making plans to launch the new cut at an epic showing in Brisbane at The Zoo, on Friday, 8 July, supported by fellow local heroes Budd, punk-pop luminaries Walken and the eclectic, electric The Bear Hunt.
Along with the upcoming hometown gig and fresh releases, Screamfeeder also announced recently that they'll be undertaking the "ambitious" project this year of releasing a 60-or-so-song set of the band's demos, "divided roughly into three categories; studio recordings of songs you've heard before (earlier versions), songs you've never heard before because they never got released, and oddities like rehearsal-room recordings to Dean's cassette Walkman, late-night 4-track noise wig-outs, that kind of thing".
All things considered, this is the busiest that Screamfeeder have been for several years, so capitalise on their newfound energy by heading to their Facebook page and dropping them a Like to ensure you're across all the latest movements on their calendar in the coming months.
