Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has announced the title of his forthcoming and much anticipated autobiography. The book will be called 'Not Dead & Not For Sale' and has a tentative release date of March 2011.
Weiland has been working on the project with David Ritz, who has previously written autobiographies for Marvin Gaye and Ray Charles. The book will focus on Weiland's music career and drug addiction, as well as his new "sober" lifestyle.
In addition to this Weiland has announced that he is working on a Christmas covers album, for which he had this to say:
"It'll be very traditional. You know, strings, upright bass, jazz horns, piano, and guitar. I'm sort of picking various versions of these songs, because they've been covered so many times, but my favorite versions — with a little twist"
This will not be Weiland's first time covering Christmas Carols as last December he released a cover of Judy Garland's Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
The album is yet to be given a release date.
