Newcastle's Safe Hands, after drip-feeding info to fans over the past few months like a bunch of cheeky bastards, today unveiled their new music video as well as the details for their new album.

After premiering on JJJ's Short Fast Loud earlier this month, like all good songs, single 'The Great Affair' isn't quite the Safe Hands of old. It seems to do away with the novacastrian's 'hardcore' label and is more melodically-tinged. For some, that'll either be a deal breaker for long time fans or the hook that lures in new listeners. Whether this new song is the sign of what the rest of their next record will sound like is anyone's guess at the moment.

But for now, 'The Great Affair' escaped from the impenetrable fortress that is Safe Hands' upcoming second album, 'Tie Your Soul To Mine' (which is out September 23rd through Lost Boy Records) and it's brought itself to your eyes and ears just below. The least you can do is listen to it in all of it's 'dig your own grave' glory, right?
