SAE Institute Melbourne Presents Its Inaugural Synthposium

First Synthposium features a panel discussion, demonstrations and hands-on opportunities

SAE Institute Melbourne presents its inaugural Synthposium 6 - 9pm 13 Aug, at its Melbourne campus at 235 Normanby Rd, South Melbourne.

The evening will feature a panel discussion from a selection of synthesiser experts along with demonstrations and opportunities for hands-on tweaking of vintage gear. Panel guests are Tonmeister and former Senior Technical Officer at Melbourne Conservatorium of Music Les Craythorn, screen and advertising composer and former Models keyboards player Andrew Duffield, David Carbone, whose production company s:amplify have just released their first synth plugin - Carbon Electra, and session player Shags Chamberlain with the discussion chaired by SAE Institute lecturer and Clan Analogue Label Manager Nick Wilson.The evening will also include a demonstration of rare 1970s and early '80s synthesisers and other electronic music equipment. Synthposium is not a trade show.
