Sacred Reich And Vio-Lence Announce Australian Tour

Thrash metal pioneers Sacred Reich and groundbreaking peers Vio-Lence are touring Australia in March 2023.

The tour will see Phoenix, Arizona and San Francisco thrash bands will hit Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne for some sweaty nights of riffs. The concerts were supposed to take place in July 2020, but we all know why the original tour couldn't go ahead. Ticketholders to the Brisbane date have also had a venue change from The Triffid to The Zoo. However, all previously purchased tickets remain valid.

Sacred Reich will return to Australia for the first time in 29 years. Having toured alongside Testament, Death Angel and Dark Angel in the '80s, the band developed a reputation as leaders of the second wave of thrash metal.

Sacred Reich released four albums from 1987 to 1996 - Ignorance, The American Way, Independent, and Heal - before returning with their highly anticipated fifth album, Awakening, in 2019. The group's current lineup consists of Phil Rind (vocals, bass), Wiley Arnett (lead guitar), Joey Radziwill (rhythm guitar), and Machine Head former drummer Dave McClain.

Vio-Lence are making their Australian tour debut in March 2023. After forming in 1985 and releasing their beloved 1988 debut album, Eternal Nightmare, the second album Oppressing the Masses, and the third studio album, Nothing To Gain, in 1991, the band broke up in 1993.

After 34 years, Vio-Lence have reformed with the members Phil Demmel (lead guitar), Sean Killian (vocals), Perry Strickland (drums) and new members Bobby Gustafson from Overkill (rhythm guitar) and Fear Factory bassist Christian Olde Wolbers. The band are promoting this year's Let The World Burn EP.
