West Australian producer Sable has announced a headline tour of Australia dubbed URL LUV IRL, informed in more ways than one by the muso's biographical-ish comic The New Adventures Of Sable, in honour of his forthcoming EP URL LUV.
In case you're unaware, a highly entertaining chronicle has been playing out on Sable's social media in the form of the comic, which pits the fictional avatar of Sable against his "grim alter ego", Shadow, with the conceptual narrative having reached a conflict-heavy boiling point that has pitted Sable and Shadow against each other in a final battle for supremacy over the other.
To further bolster the immersive nature of the experience, Sable will be utilising club music, theatre and a Baymax-esque automaton known as Saybot to create a unique AV-based live show, to better portray Sable's efforts to retrieve stolen EP USBs from his nemesis and save the day in party-hero style.
The final battle plays out across five dates from early next month, with the URL LUV IRL tour kicking off at Adelaide's Cats on Friday, 11 September, heading on to brawl its way through Perth (Jack Rabbit Slim's, 18 September), Sydney (OutsideIn, 25 September), Melbourne (Laundry Bar, 1 October) and Brisbane (TBC Club, 23 October).
