After some teasing on social media last month, the world’s biggest water-themed EDM festival, the S2O Songkran Music Festival, will make its Australian debut in February 2026.
S2O will make an epic splash in Brisbane on Saturday, 28 February, at the riverside festival site of The Royal Queensland Gold Club, just outside Fortitude Valley.
Known for blending the biggest names in EDM with explosive (and watery) visuals and splash movements, promoters TANG Events and Collective Minds promise an unforgettable event. Punters can expect live music, water, pyrotechnics, immersive production, and a good vibe at the inaugural event.
Making its debut Down Under, S2O Australia will be headlined by UK house artist James Hype alongside Alok and powerhouse vocalist Becky Hill.
Meanwhile, Melbourne’s own Will Sparks will represent Australia, while heavy hitters Marie Vaunt, New Zealand’s Lance Savali, and UK artist Tita Lau fill up the line-up.
Tickets will be available at 9 am local time on Thursday, 9 October, via Megatix. You can sign up for early access tickets here.

The inaugural Australian event is set to feature huge water-cannon moments, splash zones, and a wet-and-wild party experience, with festival-level production elevating the already stunning riverside backdrop.
Punters will have access to on-site changing rooms, designated wet and dry zones, chill-out arenas, market stalls, food vendors, and bar options.
“Australia has been waiting for something bold, fresh, and truly world-class,” said Kenneth Ngov, Partner of S2O Australia. “With S2O, we’re not just staging a festival — we’re setting a new benchmark for live experiences in this country.”
Fellow partner Simon Coyle added, “We wanted to bring to Australia something that’s more than just another festival—it’s an experience. It’s water, music, community, energy and production all wrapped into one. Brisbane is the perfect backdrop for what we have in store—expect the wettest, wildest party you’ve seen.”
Annually held in Thailand, the event has grown so much in popularity that it has expanded to include water-fuelled events in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and North America. Now, it’s Australia’s turn.
