S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole passed away last month at the age of 46 - news of his death came just weeks after the 90s and 2000s pop group announced their 25th-anniversary reunion tour. While it was touted as a UK and Ireland tour, Aussies at Pedestrian were ready to book flights.
A little over a month has passed since Cattermole’s death, and now, S Club 7 are gearing up to go on that reunion tour; their first shows together in nine years. However, they’ll be down another member, as Hannah Spearritt won’t be joining them on tour.
In a video posted to social media yesterday (14 May), the band’s current five members gathered to share the news with their fans.
Calling the run of shows the Good Times Tour in honour of Cattermole, who sang lead vocals on the original song of the same name, the band members are emotional as they explain what’s to come.
“You’ve probably noticed that there’s only five of us here today, and although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7, she won’t be joining us on this tour,” Jon Lee said in an Instagram video. “We wish her all the best for the future. However, the five of us are really excited and geared up.”
S Club 7’s Tina Barrett and Bradley McIntosh expressed their “disbelief” around the loss of their “big brother” Cattermole. “No one could ever replace our Paul, but he lives on inside each and every one of us.”

Rachel Stevens said the same: “He’s always going to be with us. He was such a big part of this tour… we are just going to keep his memory alive and share it with all of you and it’s going to make it even more special.”

Upon Cattermole’s passing last month, the band wrote on social media, “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.
“He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”
S Club 7 are going on tour throughout the UK this October.
