Jackass star Ryan Dunn has died in a car crash at age 34. He was driving his 2007 Porsche in suburban Philadelphia on Monday night when it veered off the road into the woods and burst into flames. Police have said that speed may have been a factor in the accident.

The impact of the crash left the car unrecognisable except for one door that was separated from the vehicle and left unburnt. A 30 metre long tire skid marked where the car had left the road. Dunn had posted a photo on Twitter of him and two friends drinking at a bar hours before the accident.

Longtime friend and Jackass co-creator Johnny Knoxville tweeted on Monday afternoon: "Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan, I love you buddy."
