Russell Morris has added extra dates to his Farewell Tour of Australia in multiple cities.

Morris announced the tour with his 13-piece All-Star Band in April, with eight shows booked for cities across the country.

Today, new shows have been added in Melbourne, the Gold Coast, Geelong, Canberra, Thirroul, and Bendigo, as his previously announced concerts in Melbourne, Newcastle, Twin Towns, Thirroul, and Brisbane have sold out.

Additional dates have been announced due to demand. While a second show at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on 28 August has already sold out and the singer’s team are hoping to announce a new show soon, extra dates have been announced for Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre (31 July), Geelong’s Costa Hall (2 August), Twin Towns Services Club (23 August matinee), Canberra Theatre Centre (21 August), and Anita’s Theatre (6 September matinee).

The venue and ticket agency database pre-sales for the new shows begin at 10 am local time on Monday, 2 May, for the Ulumbarra Theatre show and 9 am local time on Thursday, 22 May, for the Canberra Theatre Centre show. Pre-sale information for the Costa Hall concert is coming soon.

Tickets for the general public will be available at the times listed below. More details are on Russell Morris’ website.

Today’s announcement arrives a month after Morris released a farewell single to his fans, End Of The Beginning.

In a statement, Morris said of the Farewell Tour, “… I’m not built for the repetitive; it’s like circling the drain, and I refuse to let that be my story. So, we’ve crafted this tour as a kind of farewell—a grand send-off to this chapter. Is it the last shows? Who can say for sure? Life’s unpredictable, and I’m not one for absolutes.”

He added, “But right now, it feels like it could be. One thing’s certain: no more endless rounds of clubs, pubs, or RSLs. Maybe a rare one-off gig down the line, if the stars align. For now, though, this is my way of closing the loop—not the end of my music, but the end of the beginning. A pivot, not a full stop.”
