His bringing his 'Wonderbox' show to us
British comedian and TV presenter Russell Howard is bringing his Wonderbox stand up show to Australia for a run of theatre shows next year.
If you're not familiar with the comedy stylings of the Bristol-born performer, he's most known for star turn on his own TV series Russell Howard's Good News. The show is hugely popular, averaging around five million viewers per week and has the tendency to send Twitter into overdrive. Before he scored that BBC hit gig, he was the replacement for the internationally known Russell Brand on BBC Music 6 radio station back in 2006.
While this is his first official tour of Australia, Howard has paid us a couple of swift visits in the past. He was here in 2007 for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival as well as the one solo showed he performed at the Sydney Opera House in 2011 for Just For Laughs.
Pre-sale tickets for the shows go on sale Wednesday 3 July, with the rest available from Tuesday 9 July.
