RUFUS have announced their 'Worlds Within Worlds' national Australian tour set to kick off at the Coolangatta Hotel on May 9.
This extensive tour will move through Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Mandurah, Fremantle, Central Coast, Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra, Wollongong and will finish up with a homecoming show at The Enmore Theatre in Sydney on June 21.
2014 has been good to RUFUS. They blew crowds away at this years Falls and Big Day Out festivals, scored 3 songs in the Hottest 100 and are about to spend March and April touring the US (including SXSW) and Europe. They return to Australia in May for their biggest tour to date, and it will also be the last time RUFUS will tour their #1, gold selling debut record, 'Atlas' before returning with new material.

Excited about their lap of the Aussie map, keyboard player Jon George says,
"It was amazing to get the response we did from crowds at Falls and the BDO, we're really excited to bring everyone something new, so we're working hard on the live show right now. Conceptually we want the Worlds Within Worlds tour to amplify the escapist quality of what we tried to create with ATLAS. We don't want to give too much away now, but we're thinking; beaches, forests, desserts, mountains, ice plains...that's probably enough. We're really excited to tour the US and UK for 2 months knowing we are coming home to some big crowds and a new live show."
Set to be their last Aussie shows before they relocate to the other side of the atlas to tour and start work on their follow up record in Berlin, George explains,
“We're writing new music individually every day. But we haven't started working on a second album yet, we want to go somewhere different to facilitate a different writing experience and Berlin is different enough!"
Joining them on this tour will be good friend and Special Guest HAYDEN JAMES.
