Ruby Boots ProfileOn the back of European and UK tour dates earlier this year, the global status of Perth artist Ruby Boots continues to rise following news that she has signed with renowned US label, Bloodshot Records.
Boots joins the Chicago-based label that already boasts names like Ryan Adams and Justin Townes Earle.
"After packing up my life (momentarily) and literally moving the furthest distance possible from Perth, Western Australia to Nashville, TN (fact) it's a really special chapter for me and an honour to be welcomed into the Bloodshot Records family," Boots said of the signing.
"I have been a superfan of the label, and so many of their artists for several years, and I'm over the moon that my new record has found the right home, allowing my journey in to America, UK and Europe to continue."
The acclaimed folk songwriter will make her first US label-related public appearance at next month's AmericanaFest, before heading back to Australia for headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as a set at Adelaide's Semaphore Music Festival.
A WA gig is also expected to be announced soon.
As well as the upcoming tour dates, Ruby will continue to work on her new album, due out in early 2018, while a new single and video from the LP is set to drop in October.
