Eight years after Roxette performed what was believed to be their final-ever concerts, the Swedish pop heroes have announced an Australian tour, five years after original singer Marie Fredriksson passed away.
Heading down under for a string of headline dates, as well as A Day On The Green shows, the band—now comprising founder and half of the original duo, Per Gessle is accompanied by Christoffer Lundquist, Magnus Börjeson, Magnus “Norpan” Eriksson, Dea Norberg and original Roxette icons Clarence Öfwerman and Jonas Isacsson. Joining Gessle on vocals is Lena Philipsson.
The tour takes place in 2025 and begins at Perth’s Kings Park and Botanic Garden (Wednesday, 5 March) and then heads to Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena (Friday, 7 March), the ICC Sydney Theatre (Saturday, 8 March), Wollongong’s WIN Entertainment Centre (Sunday, 9 March), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (Tuesday, 11 March), Hobart’s Mystate Bank Arena (Thursday, 13 March), and two A Day On The Green dates – at Bimbadgen, Hunter Valley (Saturday, 15 March) and Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton on Sunday, 16 March.
Special guests Boom Crash Opera will join Roxette on all dates, while Jon Stevens and Boom Crash Opera will open the A Day On The Green and Perth shows.
Pre-sale tickets for all shows will be available from 10 am local time on Wednesday, 8 May, until 9 am local time on Friday, 10 May. The general sale opens at 10 am local time on Friday, 10 May. You can buy tickets for the headline dates on the Mellen Events website, and the A Day On The Green dates here.

Per Gessle said about the forthcoming tour in a press release, “This is all about my Roxette songs, this huge bundle of music and lyrics I’ve been writing for well over three decades.
“I’m not starting a new duo. Marie will always be irreplaceable. However, I’m really lucky to have found an amazing voice and a brilliant performer in Lena Philipsson.
“I co-wrote Lena’s first major hit back in 1986, and she’s one of the brightest shining stars Sweden has ever known. I’m extremely proud she wants to join me in my trek to keep the Roxette legacy alive.”
Philipsson added, “I’m both excited and thrilled about embarking on this tour. I really look forward to working with Per – he is a phenomenal songwriter and a never-ending musical force.”
