‘I Have To Go Rogue Every Single Time’: Peach PRC Reflects On The Past As She Steps Into Her New Era

The Rolling Stones Unveil Colourful 16-Disc Vinyl Box Set

The box set will be released early next year.

ABKCO Records have announced they will be re-releasing The Rolling Stones' popular 16 vinyl box set, The Rolling Stones In Mono, in a variety of new colours to appease die-hard fans. It highlights the collection of music mixed in an exclusively mono format, which some music buffs believe delivers a better sound.

Originally released on black vinyl, CD and digital in 2016, the mono set includes 15 albums with 186 tracks taken from their seminal era: 1963-1969.

The new box set will keep all its original components but will be re-issued in 14 different colours to match the original album covers.

It also has kept the newly created album Stray Cats, which features a compilation of songs from singles and EPs issued in the 1960s that didn't otherwise make an album.

Rolling Stone Senior Editor David Fricke, whose 5000-word essay accompanies the set, has commented on the release saying: “The Rolling Stones in Mono is the full studio account of that first decade of history and mayhem, newly remastered with unprecedented fidelity and revelatory detail."

A deluxe 48-page lie-flat book that features numerous rare photos by renowned photographer Terry O'Neill will also be featured in the set. The 16 LPs are housed in the original full-colour album jackets that fit along with the book into a one-piece specially crafted box.
