Aussie indie rockers Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have impressed on this week's ARIA charts with their second album, Sideways To New Italy.

The Melbourne-formed group's new record has debuted on the Albums chart at #4 gifting them their biggest debut to date on the back of 2018's Hope Downs which peaked on the list at #24.

Meanwhile, Sideways To New Italy topped both the Australian Artist Albums chart and the Vinyl Albums chart, beating US metalcore outfit The Ghost Inside's self-titled comeback album at #2 and Lady Gaga's Chromatica at #3.

Speaking to The Music following Sideways To New Italy's release last week (which we picked as our Album Of The Week), the band said they were "proud and excited" for fans to hear the new music.

"This is a hopeful record, true to the people and places that shaped us," they said.
