Brisbane-based Smack Face Records, responsible for the releases of such acts as Guantanamo Baywatch, Dot Hacker and The Wands, has banded together with LA's Roll Call Records, in a partnership that will see Smack Face diversifying their roster with a slew of Roll Call's international acts.
Rob Abelow, Roll Call's founder, says of the new partnership: "We have found a partner who represents in Australia and New Zealand the same ethos as Roll Call: hustle, teamwork, innovation and non-pretentiousness. They are forward-thinkers who are not afraid to get their hands dirty and our partnership will be a tremendous value to Roll Call and our artists."
Smack Face's first call of action will be to release bands like On An On and Lighthouse & The Whaler to the Geographer.
