Robert Forster Reveals 2026 Australian Tour Dates

The setlist on the Strawberries tour doesn’t just highlight new songs; it also explores Forster’s expansive solo career and his illustrious catalogue with The Go-Betweens.

Robert Forster is embarking on a five-show Strawberries tour this September, taking his new record and his Swedish band across the country.

Forster is touring in support of his ninth solo album, Strawberries, which was released last May. Upon its release, the singer-songwriter promised that, when he toured behind the record in Australia, it would be with the Swedish legends who played on the album. And Forster has kept his promise.

The setlist on the Strawberries tour doesn’t just highlight new songs; it also explores Forster’s expansive solo career and his illustrious catalogue with The Go-Betweens. It’s a two-hour show of creative magic.

Said Swedes who contributed to Strawberries and are now heading to Australia are stars of the Stockholm pop scene: Peter Moren – of Peter, Bjorn and John – plus Jonas Thurell and Magnus Olsen.

The tour begins at Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on Wednesday, 9 September. It continues at Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Thursday, 10 September, Melbourne’s Thornbury Theatre on Saturday, 12 September, Adelaide’s The Gov on Tuesday, 15 September, and concludes at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Thursday, 17 September.
