The original line-up of Take That is officially back for good after exiled singer Robbie Williams confirmed his return to the fold. A joint statement issued today (July 15) has confirmed that the five have reformed and recorded an album for release later this year. Williams said: “I get embarrassingly excited when the five of us are in a room. It feels like coming home.” Mark Owen added: “Getting the five of us to be in a room together, although always a dream, never actually seemed like becoming a reality. Now the reality of the five of us making a record together feels like a dream. It’s been an absolute delight spending time with Rob again." Williams departed the group in acrimonious circumstances in 1995 to launch a stuttering but ultimately successful solo career while his former bandmates faded into semi-obscurity. Williams and former bandmate Gary Barlow wrote and recorded a song entitled 'Shame' for the former's forthcoming retrospective, In and Out of Consciousness, which was seen as a sign that a full reunion was on the cards. In and Out of Consciousness is scheduled for release in October.
