A former Roadrunner Records employee is allegedly on embezzlement charges, with news items reporting the women in question supposedly stole $421,000 from the company.
The Sacramento Bee via Associated Press reports that Sharanda Houser falsified documents over a six year period with the company.
"The Manhattan district attorney says the 35-year-old Houser stole from Roadrunner Records for six years before being fired for unrelated reasons last year. Prosecutors say she submitted bogus expenses in executives' names and had the reimbursements wired to her," the Sacramento Bee writes.
Houser has pleaded not guilty to grand larceny and falsifying business records.
