The band are barely pausing for breath between stints on the road as they prep for the release of 'Thrust Machine'

New South Wales-based 'thrustcore' heroes Rick Dangerous & The Silkie Bantams may have only just pulled up stumps on an east-coast tour supporting recent single Bruja, but that doesn't mean they're content to rest on their laurels.

In fact, the band are barely pausing for breath between sojourns, announcing today that they'll be setting off for a larger Aussie run this May and June in honour of their imminent EP, Thrust Machine, out this Friday, 22 April, on MGM Distribution.

Rick and his merry men will kick off their Thrust Machine tour with a show in Miranda, at Sweaty Betty's, on Friday 13 May, occupying stages over the ensuing weekends in Brisbane (The Bearded Lady, Friday 20 May), Gold Coast (Shark Bar Miami Tavern, 21 May), Sydney (Factory Floor, Friday 27 May), Newcastle (Lass O'Gowrie, 28 May), Belgrave (Sooki Lounge, Friday 3 June), Melbourne (Croxton Bandroom, 4 June), Wollongong (Rad Bar, Saturday 11 June) and Canberra (Transit Bar, 12 June). They'll be joined for all shows, except Miranda and Canberra, by NSW rockers Hammers. Local supports are yet to be announced for the gigs.

Incidentally, although there are mere days to go until Thrust Machine is out in the world, Rick Dangerous & The Silkie Bantams have followed Bruja with another scorcher from the release, the amusingly titled F**king Phil. As we've come to solidly expect from this band, it's another ferocious slice of energetic, cock-rockin' aggro-rock that only hints at the electric live madness sure to swallow audiences whole at venues across their forthcoming run.
