After 14 years as the Music Director for triple j, Richard Kingsmill has stepped down to take on the new role of Group Music Director for the triple j group of music networks.
As The Industry Observer notes, stepping into the coveted position is former Assistant Music Director for the station, Nick Findlay, who has undoubtedly helped shape the sound of triple j since joining the youth broadcaster a decade ago.
Kingsmill's new role will see him lead and co-ordinate the team of music directors, which includes triple j Unearthed Music Director, Dave Ruby Howe, and Double J Music Director, Dorothy (Dot) Markek.
Meanwhile, Gemma Pike moves into the Assistant Music Director for triple j after joining the music team in 2011 and working as a programmer, producer and presenter.
