Melbourne Gets New Outdoor Pop-up Live Music District

Melbourne is being blessed by a new outdoor pop-up concert venue named Reunion Park.

The new precinct will open at the beginning of March within the City of Yarra's iconic Burnley Circus Site, 15 minutes from the Melbourne CBD.

The venue will host a range of artists including King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Spacey Jane, Northlane, Wolfmother, BENEE, L.A.B and many more.

It will also feature a diverse range of performing arts shows including circus performances, food and drink delights and a programme of comedy as a part of Melbourne Comedy Festival.

The venue will be curated by Untitled Group and Velodrome Events, to celebrate Melbourne's vibrant culture and reunite artists and audiences.

“When we first conceptualised Reunion Park in 2020 we knew it would be a challenge, but did not anticipate nearly 2 years of lockdowns before it would become a reality or prove as crucial an event series for the Australian live entertainment industry," Chris Mitchell of Velodrome Events stated.

"The project could not have happened without the support of the Federal government’s RISE fund, but equally as important that of Yarra City Council whose support of local and Australian artists has been unwavering.

"We feel blessed to have the opportunity to bring together such an eclectic program of musicians and performing artists, and play a part in helping return confidence in our industry that despite all odds, the show must go on!”
