“There's nothing like spilling a simple chest mark and getting sledged by some unslept revellers on the hill and some kids from Marrickville Primary school while the sun sets in the west. Incredible scenes.”
Much-loved fundraising event the Reclink Community Cup will return to Sydney next month, with media personalities (Sydney Sailors) and local musicians (Western Walers) going head-to-head for a great cause.
The Aussie rules match, raising crucial funds for Reclink Australia, will take place at Henson Park in Marrickville on Sunday 11 September from 12pm.
Leading its “electrifying musical line-up” is OG Wiggle Murray Cook and The Soul Movers, who will perform at halftime, and legendary hip hop collective The Herd, who will return to the start for the first time since 2018 after the match.
“I love playing the Community Cup alongside a spirited bunch of full-hearted dabblers who kick, handball and most importantly sing together in the name of supporting Reclink at the glorious Henson Park,” Tim Levinson (Urthboy/The Herd/Elefant Traks) said.
