Reclink Community Cup Announces 2017 Dates, New Melb Venue & Epic Music Line-Up

It's baaaack.

The iconic Reclink Community Cup will be making its triumphant return in 2017, with dates today being announced, as well as a new venue for the Melbourne event and the full music bill. 

Inspired by the track from iconic Brisbane outfit, The Go-Betweens, this year's theme is 'Streets Of Your Town', which each city will celebrate in their own style. 

Kicking off the Melbourne leg on Sunday 25 June at the new home of Victoria Park, bands confirmed to perform at the 2017 Community Cup include Spiderbait, The Peep Tempel, Jen Cloher, Deborah Conway, Willy Zygier & She Said Zed, as well as kids entertainers, Murray Wiggle and Wally Meanie's Bubblegum Machine.

The Rockdogs will again do battle with the Megahertz and judging by the below tweet, the muso's have some big names already in training.

Adelaide: Norwood Oval — Sunday, 16 July
Brisbane: Leyshon Park — Sunday 30 July
Sydney: Henson Park — Sunday, 6 August
Hobart: Queenborough Oval — Sunday, 20 August
Perth: Fremantle Oval — Sunday, 3 September

Funds raised through the Community Cup support Reclink Australia's work with disadvantaged communities across Australia. 

"This year's theme is all about community, the importance of social inclusion, celebrating diversity and community belonging," Reclink Australia CEO, John Ballis said. 

"After all, the streets of your town are the streets of our town."
