It was back in 1987 that beloved ABC music show Rage began its epic 30-year journey, with Sydney post-punk band Lime Spiders’ Weirdo Libido music video setting in motion a program that would become an integral part of the country's music scene.

To accompany two docos announced last year, Rage has dished up a “multi-platform” celebration that might as well be billed as Australian Music 101.

Kicking off April 14, Rage will consume ABC TV, radio, print and live events to relive the show’s best moments and dig deep into Australian music and culture, all led by star-studded local talent.

Kate Ceberano will host Rage30: Stories From The Red Couch on April 21, which will feature highlights from the hundreds of guest programmers, while half-hour throwback radio special Rage 'Til you Puke chats with musos, producers and fans – available on Double J’s The J Files podcast feed April 14.

The print side of things has been covered off with Rage 30 Magazine: Collector’s Edition, penned by the likes of ABC legends like Myf Warhurst and Lindsay McDougall dishing up guest programmer tales on Faith No More, Hole, Weezer and more.

The iconic Rage couch is also on display and available for selfies in the main foyer of the ABC Ultimo Centre until April 23.
