Big changes around the country.
It's been a big year radio with cancellations and resignations and now entering into the final quarter of 2019, it's shaping up for an interesting close to the year with the results of the September radio ratings.
Sydney
KIIS FM's Kyle & Jackie O hold onto their spot as Sydney's #1 breakfast team, with their show pulling in an 11.6% market share, up 0.6% on the last ratings. The pair have seen a 1.5% total growth from the January ratings of 10.1%. WSFM's Jonesy & Amanda are second in the breakfast ratings, holding onto their 8.2% share. NOVA's Fitzy & Wippa are up 0.3% for a total of 7.8%, while triple j's breakfast show with Ben & Liam sees a loss of 0.2% to represent a share of 4.2%.
2Day FM's breakfast slot, which now features 'Music For Breakfast' show with Jamie Angel following the axing of Grant Denyer, Ash London & Ed Kavalee's program in August, has moved up 0.1% for a market share of 2.5%.
Melbourne

Triple J has experienced loss across all weekday programs in Melbourne apart from evenings which sees a 0.2% growth for a total of 3.6% market share. Most significantly affected is the station's afternoon segment, which sees a loss of 1.3% from the last ratings period for a total of 4.4% market share.
Fox FM's breakfast program with Fifi, Fev & Byron holds its spot as Melbourne's most popular FM breakfast show despite a loss of 0.4% (total market share of 9.6%). Gold FM's Christian O’Connell breakfast show has seen a substantial growth of 1.5%, sitting just behind Fifi, Fev & Byron at 9.5%. Nova's Chrissie, Sam & Browny hold their share of 8.6%, while Smooth FM sees a growth of 0.6% to 7.5% and Triple M loses 0.3% to sit at 6% market share.
KIIS FM's breakfast show with Jase & PJ has seen a significant loss of 1.4% this period - the largest amongst the Melbourne FM breakfast programs - for a total of 5.8%.
Brisbane
Nova FM's Brisbane breakfast program with Ash, Kip, Luttsy & Susie holds onto the #1 spot, remaining at 12.7% market share. Hit105's show with Stav, Abby & Matt sees the most growth in the Brisbane breakfast programs, moving up 1.7% for a total of 11.2%. 97.3FM's breakfast with Bianca, Mike & Bob has moved ahead of Triple M's breakfast with Marto, Robin & Nick Cody, with the programs reaching 10.3% and 10.2% market share respectively.
Triple J's breakfast show with Ben & Liam sees a loss of 0.7% for a total of 7.7% market share, while the morning and afternoon segments see a growth of 0.2% each (for a total of 8.2% and 8.6% respectively).
Perth
NOVA breakfast with Nathan, Nat & Shaun remains Perth's most popular breakfast program despite a loss of 0.9% for a total market share of 14.6%. The station sees a loss across all programming, most significantly with in the afternoon slot with a loss of 1.1%. Mix FM also sees losses across the board, with drive being the largest (1% for a total of 11.2% market share).
Triple J sees huge loss across all programs in Perth, dropping 2.5% for breakfast (6.7% total market share), 3.2% for mornings (5.3% total market share), 2.5% for afternoons (6.9% total market share), 1% for drive (9.1% total market share) and 4.7% for evenings (7.1% total market share).
Adelaide
Mix FM's Jodie & Soda hold their spot as Adelaide's most popular breakfast show, gaining 0.3% for a total of 11.9% market share. In second place is NOVA's breakfast show with 10.5% (a loss of 0.1%). The program will receive a shakeup in 2020, with hosts Dylan Lewis and Hayley Pearson both wrapping up in November. Triple M's breakfast sees a growth of 0.1% for a 10.1% market share.
Triple J's Ben & Liam see a growth of 0.5% in their hometown, for a 5.9% share of the breakfast market, while mornings sees a growth of 0.2% for a 5.6% market share. Afternoons sees a loss of 0.1% for a 6% market share, while drive gains 0.1% at 6.8% and evenings remain steady at 4.2%.
