The Ratings Are In - Here's How Radio Is Looking For 2021 So Far

Sydney

Kyle & Jackie O's KIIS FM breakfast show holds onto its place as Sydney's favourite with an increase of 1.1% for a 10.9% market share. It's WSFM's Jonsey & Amanda with 7.7% marketshare, up a whole 2% on last ratings. Smooth FM's breakfast with Bogart Torelli & Glenn Daniel slips from second place with 7.5% despite a 0.2% increase, and NOVA's Fitzy & Wippa see a 0.4% increase for a total share of 6.9%. 

Over at triple j, breakfast with Bryce & Ebony saw a slight increase of 0.1% for 4.9% market share. The station saw an overall decrease of 0.2% for a 5.5% market share.

Melbourne

Gold FM's Christian O'Connell remains in the top spot for the breakfast market. The program has held onto the #1 despite a 0.6% drop, making a total market share of 8.3%. Nova's breakfast with Chrissie, Sam & Browny lands at #2 with an impressive 1.1% increase for 7.9% market share. 

FOX FM's Fifi, Fev & Nick land in third with a consistent 7.2%, while Bryce & Ebony see a 0.2% increase for 4.4% market share. 

Brisbane 

Triple J's breakfast loses the increase it made last ratings, slipping back down to 6.1% market share (a loss of 0.8%), with the station as a whole dropping 1.5% to 7.2%.  

It's close in Brisbane this ratings period for the top breakfast shows with B105 securing the title with an impressive 11.3% market share (up 1%) while Nova comes in #2 with 11.2% (down 0.2%). Triple M is next in line with 10.2% (down 0.4%). 

Adelaide

Former triple j breakfast hosts Ben & Liam have seen a significant ratings increase at Nova this ratings, up 1.9% to a total of 9.8% to give them the city's second most popular breakfast show. The top spot goes out to Mix FM's Erin & Soda with a 12% market share, a 1.1% increase. 

Bryce & Ebony see their biggest metro market drop in this ratings, moving from 5.6% to 3.9% (a 1.7% decrease). 

Perth

It's good news for triple j breakfast in Perth however with the show claiming a total 8.5% market share, up 1% on last ratings. 

It's Nathan, Nat & Shaun at Nova that claim the #1 though with a huge 14.9% market share, despite a 0.3% drop. Mix FM's Pete, Matt & Kymba come in second with a 0.2% increase for a 12.2% market share.
