Triple J Breakfast Shows Improvement Across The Country In Latest Ratings

Triple J breakfast duo Ben & Liam have received a bump across the country in the latest radio ratings, but they've still got a way to go, experiencing a slight drop in Melbourne only.

Sydney

KIIS1065 breakfast duo Kyle & Jackie O maintain their place atop the FM breakfast ladder, moving up 0.5% to have an overall share of 10.7%.

At the same time, Ben & Liam moved up 0.5% to have an overall share of 5%, staying ahead of commercial station 2DAY FM 104.1 who also had a spike, rising 1% to sit at 4.6%.

Melbourne

Melbourne was the only market in which triple j breakfast was unable to have an impact, with Ben & Liam falling 0.9% to 4.9%, while drive also suffered a hit (down 0.8%).

Despite not moving in the ratings,  Fox FM 101.9 is still the #1 FM station in Melbourne, closely followed by Smoothfm 91.5 in second (down 0.1% to 9.4%) and Gold 104.3 in third (up 0.1% to 9.3%).

Brisbane

The triple j breakfast love continues in Brisbane, with the morning crew receiving a bump of 0.6% to sit at 7.1%.

Nova 106.9 suffers a blow of -1.2%, knocking the station's overall share to 11.5% and third place, with 104.5 Triple M claiming the top place as a 0.6% increase takes their share to 12.4%. Hit 105 holds onto second place with 12% overall, despite a 0.4% decrease.

Adelaide

It was in their hometown that triple j's Ben & Liam enjoyed the biggest bump, shooting up 1.2% to 6%.

Mix 102.3 continues to fall, but, despite a drop of 0.7% to sit at 12.9%, they dominate rival FM stations, with Nova 91.9 claiming second after an increase of 0.9% brings them to 9.7% overall.

Perth

Triple j receives a 0.6% increase overall in Perth, in part thanks to Ben & Liam scoring a 0.4% bump to land at 7.9% overall. 

Despite a dip in Brisbane, Nova 93.7 manages to reclaim the FM crown from Mix 94.5 (who moved -0.4% to 13.9%), enjoying a 1.3% increase and 15.1% overall share.
