Still not really sure how umlauts work, though

In-demand Aussie outfit RÜFÜS are staring down the barrel of a busy few months ahead, announcing today that they'll be undertaking a sizeable international tour encompassing both Australia and the United States, as well as unveiling their brand new video for fresh cut You Were Right.

Coming in the wake of earlier crowd-pleasers such as Sweat It Out, You Were Right is an infectious ode to euphoria, created with assistance from long-time video collaborator Katzki - the brother of band member Jon George, who marks his seventh clip with the band this time around. It's an ethereal, slow-mo-soaked orgy of evocative camera work and thoughtful composition, more than ably backed by the building hooks and refrains of the band's new release.

"We’ve been working so hard trying to put together an album of songs that we would want to hear, we’re very close to finished with the album and looking forward to get out there on a big stage playing these new songs to people for the first time," George said in a statement. "The reaction to You Were Right has been great, we’re excited to share the rest of the record with people."

Check it out below.

Although the album's title and release date are yet to be revealed, you can get a jump on catching RÜFÜS in action throughout October, when they take their acclaimed live show to Brisbane (The Tivoli, 16 October), Fremantle (Arts Centre, 17 October), Adelaide (HQ, 18 October), Melbourne (The Forum, 23 October), Wollongong (Uni Hall, 24 October), Canberra (ANU, 29 October), Sydney (Enmore Theatre, 30 October) and Newcastle (This That Festival, 31 October) before they jet across half the planet to take on a handful of shows in the United States.

Tickets for all shows go on sale this Friday, 14 August. For exclusive pre-sale tickets, sign up at the band's website.
