Queen To Release Album With Unheard Freddie Mercury Tracks

Venerated UK rock legends Queen have announced that they will release a new album of material including never-before-heard tracks featuring late frontman Freddie Mercury this November.

The album, Queen Forever, will sport three songs boasting Mercury's inimitable tones, including There Must Be More To Life Than This — an eagerly awaited collaboration between the band and fellow fallen global icon Michael Jackson — as well as unfinished Mercury/Queen cut Let Me In Your Heart Again, which was born of their recording sessions for 11th studio full-length The Works (1984), and a minimalistic balladesque rendition of Mercury's collaboration with Giorgio Moroder and his first solo hit, Love Kills.

Queen Forever will be released internationally on Monday, November 10, via Virgin Records, so expect the Friday before or after for a local drop date, or thereabouts. No word on whether it'll be available in digital format, but fingers crossed pending further information.

In addition to the unheard songs, the Brian May and Roger Taylor-curated, 20-track single album (or extended 36-track double album, depending on your preference) is a collection of hits, favourites, and reimaginings of other well-known songs, plus recordings described by May as "things that we have collected together that are representative of our growth rather than the big hits".
