“Our music industry, like most industries, is facing massive and unprecedented challenges that require immediate support."
QMusic is supporting, connecting and upskilling Queensland’s contemporary music community through a series of free online workshops and masterclasses.
Part of QMusic’s COVID-19 industry support plan, QMUSIC CONNECT will kick off on April 6 at 5.30pm AEST via Facebook Live.
“Our music industry, like most industries, is facing massive and unprecedented challenges that require immediate support,” QMusic CEO Angela Samut said.
“In response, QMusic is rolling out QMUSIC CONNECT over the next six months which is an online series of workshops and masterclasses that has been curated to help develop skills, knowledge, tools and connections for artists and music industry professionals.
“As an industry, we have proven time and again that we are resilient, innovative and creative. We anticipate that our local community will emerge from the current crisis with stronger connections and a proliferation of collaborations from across our state from Coolangatta to Cape York to Winton!
“We will rebuild ourselves even stronger than before and create great music and resilient music entrepreneurs that will entertain and inform generations to come.”
