"All we know is we've got one last night of kick-ass female-fronted talent to send us off."

Respected regular indie night Brisbabes — a quarterly(ish) shindig designed to shine a spotlight on the region's female musicians — is holding its sixth and potentially final event at The Foundry this month, with the line-up being announced today.

Set to help see off the series for the indefinite future is a group of local luminaries that includes hip hop upstart Jesswar, the velvet-smooth sounds of Tiana Khasi, soul-pop prodigies Pink Matter and the enigmatic Izadora

"After more than a year of highlighting, showcasing and celebrating women in the Brisbane music scene, BRISBABES is coming to an end… for now," organisers wrote on social media. "We might be back, we might not, but all we know is we've got one last night of kick-ass female-fronted talent to send us off in true BRISBABES style!"

The sixth Brisbabes event hits The Foundry on Saturday 21 January, with tickets available now for $10, or $15 at the door.
