Punk-Metal Vets G.B.H. Are Headed To Australia & New Zealand

The UK old salts will show the kids how it's done with six Aussie shows and two Kiwi gigs to boot

British-bred punk-metal cult icons G.B.H. have announced an eight-date run of shows around Australia and New Zealand early next year, five years after their last headline sojourn in the antipodes.

The influential outfit — whose most recent full-length, Perfume & Piss, also dropped back in 2010, the same year of their previous visit — will kick off on the left coast at the Rosemount Hotel, in Perth, on 24 February, with the Aussie leg of their southern journey also encompassing performances in Adelaide (Enigma, 25 February), Melbourne (Bendigo Hotel, 26 February), Brisbane (Crowbar, 27 February), Sydney (Factory Floor, 28 February) and Canberra (Transit Lounge, 2 March), hopping across the ditch to round out their trip with two shows in New Zealand: the first in Auckland, at the Kings Arms, on 4 March, and the second and final show of the tour going down at Bodego, in Wellington, on 5 March.

For the uninitiated, a G.B.H. show can prove quite the overwhelming prospect; a rambunctious, no-holds-barred monument to reckless punk-rock madness, sculpted by the streets and decades of living like tomorrow is perpetually the last day on Earth. The band have garnered an enduring reputation for their ferocious performances over their 30-plus-year career, having first formed in 1978 and scorched their way into punk-rock history with debut LP City Baby Attacked By Rats in 1982. Eleven studio albums and multiple decades later, G.B.H. return to Australia ready to rip you to shreds in the best possible way.

Tickets for all shows go on sale this Thursday, 5 November, via The Drunk Promoter.
