Potato, soprano.

Beloved communal singing venture Pub Choir have decided the show must go on despite the current pandemic, announcing their plan for Couch Choir.

A multi-media endeavour that encourages self-isolators to belt out tunes from the safety of their own homes, the Pub Choir team will release three different harmonies that punters can choose from and film themselves singing along to. Pub Choir will then collate these submissions into one big video singalong.

In a statement released online, the group said, “Though we can't put on a physical show at the pub for a while, you could still open your sound hole from the comfort of your own home.

"Wanna sing in your PJs? No problem. Need a distraction for your kids? We've got your back. Stop the misery scrolling for just a moment and sing with us. This is your time to lazily shine.”

The video selections from Pub Choir will be released tonight at 7pm via the group’s Facebook page, with submissions closing 7pm on 19 Mar. For more info regarding song choices and where to submit, check out Couch Choir’s event page here.
