Melbourne new wave band Pseudo Echo have rocked the socks off of their beloved fans since 1982 and has eager plans to keep the groove in motion. In doing so, they’ve enlisted the help of a new member to keep the spirit alive.

Taking to social media yesterday, the band introduced their fans to their newest member Andrea Krakovská who will be slinging guitar onstage alongside vocalist and guitarist Brian Canham. Fans online have rejoiced in the induction of Krakovská as an official new member after seeing her guest play with the band in the past, with many welcoming her with open arms and calling her a “brilliant” addition to the group.

Krakovská has an extensive resume in music. After training in classical piano and ballet from a young age, she soon picked up a guitar and hasn’t turned away from it since. When she’s not bringing you the sounds of Pseudo Echo’s Funky Town or Listening, you can catch her playing in the all-female country band Southbound or rocking it out with the all-female rock band Toxic Dolls. Outside of her band involvement, the musician is representing herself wholeheartedly through her solo work, most recently with her debut single Elusion.

Elusion is an intensive rock anthem that showcases Krakovská’s skill in its purest form. It’s a sonic 5-minute journey through hard-hitting riffs and melodic moments that captivate you within an instant. What makes Krakovská stand out as a solo performer though is her merging of aerial choreography with guitar playing. This year, she brought her aerial guitar performance to Sydney’s Lennox Theatre, providing a night of aerial artistry with a focus on instrumental guitar, rock and metal music. Her life thus far has been deeply rooted in love and adoration for music in all forms, thus making her a seasoned addition to Pseudo Echo’s ongoing journey.

Pseudo Echo are wrapping their Machine Tour in November before embarking on their Love An Adventure Tour in 2025. Tickets and details for the remaining shows of 2024 and for their upcoming tour in 2025 are available here.
