This weeks selections are set to energise you, bringing you insipration to grind harder and dance harder with mixes XNYWOLF, Jasmine Infiniti + more

Welcome back to our weekly segment where we pluck the best mixes from all over the web and the world, bundle ’em together and call it PS Selected. Whether it was whipped up last week or last year, if it’s worth listening to it’s bound to be featured as Holly O’Neill takes you through the hours and hours of quality mixes uploaded across the net by big and small selectors alike.

This weeks mixes come from master selectors BEVERLY HILLS MOM, UMFANG, XNYWOLF, MR. MITCH and JASMINE INFINITI. All of their mixes have completely energised me this week, listening to and reading about their work while thinking on the context around these producers, party throwers and DJ's has really spurned me into action and hopefully they'll get you going too.

While on tour round Aus with fellow Discwoman SHYBOI, Umfang popped into Melbourne's Skylab Radio for an hour of thoughtful selections of ambient, noise and lowkey house. She guides us through woozy soundscapes and echoing rhythmless synths before slowly edging into hypnotic rhythms and sprinklings of pop among it all. It's a solid mix with influences of footwork, techno and shoegaze, all while keeping that slow burning, simmering energy.

Prolific Brisbane producer and known socialite Beverly Hills Mom just invented house music. Big call but if you don't believe me have a listen to their latest mix for Radio Y2K, filled with bitchy pop tracks, club edits and a few of their own huge tracks. With a taste for pop dance fusion and left of centre house, vogue and techno, their natural production talent comes out sounding like Mallgrab on poppers in the back of a pink Mercedes.

Upon hearing the news of Red Bull Radio shutting down later this year I, like many other music heads around the world, was heartbroken. Silver lining to the shut down is Lauren Martin's soundcloud, the RBMR host and writer now cataloging many of the archived shows on her account, including a fire mix from Jasmine Infinti. NYC DJ and mother of the House of Infiniti, she's got stunning taste for underground techno, club, rap and of course vogue and ballroom and an ability to cross those streams with ease.

The colour pink, as defined by UK producer and DJ Mr. Mitch, can be seen as "raw and unfiltered". In a mix series showcasing his diversity of selection and influence, this mix hones in on driving rhythmic sounds of mind bending breaks and grubby house. Oddball synthesis colours this mix from start to finish, with weird syncopation and squeaks, bleeps and bloops feeling at home among the four to the floor rhythms and familiar sampled breaks.

Sydney party crew Sauti Systems are packing out venues every month with huge lines outside and huge vibes inside, bringing rowdy bashment energy to Aus shores. One of the party's OGs and repeat party DJ XNYWOLF spell out what to expect when you come thru with a pastiche of choice rap, reggaeton, grime, afrobeats and global trap. It's a fully packed hour that'll make you want to move everything, including your ass to their next party!
