The veteran musos will play their first-ever shows in Australia this June
German power-metal icons Primal Fear have been tearing up stages for almost 20 years now and yet, somehow, they've never made it to Australia.
That's set to change this year, however, when the European veterans touch down for their first-ever tour Down Under. Despite the overdue nature of the visit, the trip is a bit of a whirlwind — it encompasses only two shows; one in Melbourne, at Northcote Social Club, on Saturday 11 June, and the second in Sydney, at Newtown Social Club, on Sunday 12 June.
It's a fortuitously timed jaunt for the Germanic shredders, with the band touching down in Australia hot on the heels of their newest album, 11th studio effort Rulebreaker, which has proven most successful for the band in claiming top-20 chart entries in the US, Germany, Czech Republic and Sweden. With a career spanning most of the past two decades, though, expect to hear cuts from across their broad oeuvre to make appearances when Primal Fear make their eagerly awaited debut on Aussie shores.
Tickets for both shows go on sale via the venues (Melbourne/Sydney) next Monday, 7 March. The super-keen among you can take a run at early bird passes on sale now through Metal Obsession.
