Nine Inch NailsLast week, Canadian politicians Rachel Notley, the Premier of Alberta, Don Iveson, the Mayor of Edmonton, and Naheed Nenshi, the Mayor of Calgary, cheekily revealed a Nine Inch Nails copycat shirt they had designed to celebrate the trio's partnership — and combined acronym of their surnames.
However, talking to Canadian network CBC, Iveson has stated that they "got advice that there were some concerns about the trademark and essentially to cease and desist".
It has not been confirmed whether the "advice" came from the NIN camp, though the politicians are unlikely to face any large-scale legal ramifications as they reportedly only made three T-shirts with no intention of reproducing them on a larger scale.
