LAPD issue search warrant.

More KISS More KISS

A search warrant was served by the LAPD at the home of KISS bassist Gene Simmons on Thursday afternoon, though police are not discussing details of the investigation which is currently being executed by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

According to CNN, police said in a statement that the 65-year-old rocker nor his family are considered suspects in the investigation.

"No members of the Simmons family are suspects in the case and were extremely cooperative," Lt John Jegal of the LAPD said.

Simmons' publicist, Cheyanne Baker has confirmed that the warrant was connected to a crime that may have occurred on the Los Angeles property last year while he was away on tour.

Authorities have requested that the family do not discuss the case publicly to avoid undermining the investigation.

Simmons' wife, Shannon Tweed Simmons took to Twitter just hours ago to thank fans for their support.

"We couldn't be more horrified that someone used our residence for such heinous crimes. Law enforcement is on it," she tweeted.

Meanwhile, KISS are set to head to Australia this October for a string of stadium shows in support of the 40th anniversary world tour.
