Listen Out has responded to the alleged sexual assault at the Melbourne even this past Saturday, saying they are working with police to identify the offender.
"This behaviour is completely unacceptable," a statement issued to Facebook today reads.
"At Listen Out this weekend we are targeting any sexual assault using every means at our disposal including CCTV coverage, customer lists, security and police surveillance."
Police are appealing for public assistance after a female was allegedly sexually assaulted at Listen Out festival in Melbourne on Saturday.
In a statement issued this morning by Victoria police, the woman was in the crowd at the main stage with friends at around 8pm, when an unknown male approached and began dancing behind her.
When the woman tried to move away, the man "grabbed the victim around the neck and placed his hand inside the victims clothing and sexually assaulted her".
The victim managed to elbow the man in the face and exit the mosh pit.
The male is described as being Caucasian with ginger-coloured hair. Investigators have released the below facial composite of a male they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The alleged incident comes after police said they were "generally happy" with the behaviour of punters at the festival held at Catani Gardens in St Kilda, with 30 of the 18,000 festivalgoers arrested during a drug dog operation.
