PolarisWith a handful of shows lined up all around the country with good mates Dream On, Dreamer, from tomorrow night, Sydney-bred heavyweights Polaris have preceded their impending trip with the revelation of their thunderous new single and video, Regress.
The track itself made its premiere on triple j before the video was unveiled by the band last night, garnering more than 5500 views in its first few hours of life; if you're yet to add yourself to that number, you can give the whole package a burl below.
As you can see from the video (created with assistance from the good folks at Red Boss Productions), the band have a penchant — and a well-honed one, at that — for gleefully technical stop-start riffage and chunky breakdowns, often juxtaposed against moments of stark, melodic tenderness (plus, bonus synchronised jumping, which never goes astray from a base entertainment-value standpoint).
Regress is a key herald for Polaris' forthcoming EP, for which further details and information will become available in December. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to stay on top of the band's future movements.
