Poison City have added independent Philadelphia, PA label Tiny Engines to it's distribution family.
Starting simply as 3 like-minded friends putting out a vinyl release here and there, Tiny Engines have built up a stellar collection of releases from the likes of Restorations, Tigers Jaw, Monument and Castevet, with plenty more vinyl only titles planned for 2012.
Tiny Engines' D.I.Y ethic and community approach to releasing music sits perfectly alongside the Poison City label and distribution roster, which also includes No Idea Records, Sabot, Hobbledehoy, Paper + Plastick, Recess, Boss Tuneage, 1-2-3-4 Go! and Dirtnap. The full Tiny Engines catalog will be available next week from good indie retailers and via Poison City E-Store.
"Tiny Engines is a record label…or at least it’s trying really hard to be one. Like all things punk rock, it’s an evolution of ideas and gathering of like-minded people who dig totally sweet music, a tight-knit community of friends and strong, independent DIY ethics. You’ve probably heard this tune many times before, but all we’re really looking to do is expose some amazing bands that we love to a wider audience. If in the process we can release a few choice slabs of vinyl in super-rad packaging, well then I think we’ve accomplished everything we set out to do. Let’s face it – we’re not going to change the world, but we can sure as hell make it sound a little gnarlier." - www.tinyengines.net
