Australian guitarist, producer and composer extraordinaire Plini is embarking on an expansive tour of Australia and New Zealand this August, with a string of special guests joining him in both countries.

Touring in support of his recently released new album, An Unnameable Desire, winter will feel slightly warmer with Plini’s forthcoming tour, where he’ll display his biggest production to date. He’ll be accompanied by special guests math rock quartet Delta Sleep, hailing from the UK; as well as rising alt-metal artist Cenobia, and alternative metal newcomers nightdive, both from Sydney.

The tour begins at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Thursday, 6 August. It continues at Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Friday, 7 August, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Saturday, 8 August, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Sunday, 9 August, and concludes at Perth’s Magnet House on Tuesday, 11 August.

Following his Australian dates, Plini will take his show to New Zealand. Those dates take place at Auckland’s Double Whammy on Friday, 14 August, and Wellington’s San Fran on Saturday, 15 August.

Tickets to all shows are available now via Plini’s website.

He said of the upcoming shows, “Excited to bring my biggest production around Australia and New Zealand in August - playing songs from the new album around Europe at the moment has already been insanely fun. And extra excited to have put together a bill of some of my favourite bands!”

Plini is recognised as a dazzlingly fascinating musician whose style blends progressive rock, metal, and guitar wizardry. He’s received acclaim from guitar god Steve Vai, became the first instrumental act to appear at the UK’s Download Festival, and has toured alongside Animals As Leaders, Sleep Token, Periphery, and TesseracT.

Last month, Plini released his latest record, An Unnameable Desire, which combines energy, intricacy, and serenity while also showcasing whimsy.
